What is one thing I can do that I probably don't do already, every day, that will make me feel like a better person?

Come on, Alexander. How does anyone know the one thing you don't do every day?! However, I have some ideas for you that can make you feel like a better person. If you're already doing them, great! If not, give them a try:

1. Give a $2 bill to a homeless person and introduce yourself while shaking their hand or giving them a hug, if appropriate.

2. Practice 15 minutes of mindfulness meditation in the morning. Instead of pushing away stray thoughts, acknowledge them and let them go, focusing on your breath instead. This can help reduce negative and obsessive thinking.

3. Start a short, friendly conversation with a stranger in a grocery store line. You can break the ice by commenting on or asking a question about something interesting.

4. Compliment a stranger on something you notice, such as a nice smile or an attractive article of clothing. It's important to do this in a respectful and non-intrusive way.

5. Take a break from engaging in partisan talk on social media.

6. Go for a 20-minute walk shortly after waking up.

7. If you're a daily drinker, take a break from alcohol for a week or so. This can help you assess its impact on your life.
