What was the most beneficial thing you learned during your education?

It wasn’t until the last two years of college that I could appreciate the answer to this question: Learning how to Learn.

This is the reason for formal education.

From the earliest school days, students begin to gain the fundamentals of Learning through reading, writing, and speaking. Further education strengthens this foundation and introduces mental models to represent problems students may face. Through repeated exposure to new models, problems, and their solutions, students gain the ability to extrapolate their learnings cross functionally to novel problems.

The end result is someone who can learn, adapt and overcome the complexities present in their life.

They have learned to learn.
