I hate for this to have to be my one-thousandth answer, but here it goes.
My opinion is as follows: uneducated individuals are likely to thrive in the working class, but not in every instance does an educated individual find themselves getting a better paying job than the average college drop out.
I think that a higher level of education doesn’t always mean higher pay.
I think the area of location matters. Think Stanford versus Arizona State University.
There’s also a thing called “street smart.” The highly educated individual might fail to survive in a rundown apartment complex as opposed to the non-educated.
The opposite is also true: an individual “not formally educated” may do poorly in an environment that calls for proper time management, knowledge of nutritious foods, day planning, etc.
I hate to say this, but the intelligence of the non-educated individual is nothing comparable to a highly educated individual in the sense that the educated are likely to stab people in the back as opposed to stepping over people. An educated person has learned this and is intelligent enough to do what they can to get ahead.
Before I take off, I’d also like to point out that the non-educated individual may not be willing to clean their own environment out of habit. This is based off of recent observation.
I apologize for reverting “not formally educated” with “non-educated.” It seemed easier.
Thank you for the question.
