Why can't people tell that I'm asking questions in order for them to write reports, rather than to learn the answers (most of which I already know)?

Are you asking others for their sake? Or for yours?

Quora is primarily about asking questions you don't have the answers for, and can't find elsewhere. …although the latter has been severely neglected of late. Have some people never heard of Google?

If you're asking questions on Quora in order to get others to think for their sake, you might be in the wrong forum. There are many forums online for discussion and personal growth.

If you're asking them to do your homework in writing a report, then you're cheating.

If people can't tell your intentions in asking a question, then you're probably asking it wrong. Communication is difficult online. You have text-only, limited characters in a question, you're dealing with many many cultures, and some people have English as a second of third language. It's hard to cut through all that, and still have your intentions be obvious.

Maybe, before you post a question, find someone who has no prior knowledge of your intent. Get them to proofread it. Then ask them what they think your question is really asking.

We are all misunderstood at times. That's life.
