What is the real extent of your personal knowledge of the French language?

On a scale of 1 to 5 where “1” is being able to say and understand simple phrases and “5” is being able to discuss any subject in the language, I’m roughly a high 2.

Je suis canadien (I’m Canadian). Je parle anglais (I speak English). Mon premiere lecon de francais depuis cinquante-huit ans (my first French lesson was 58 years ago). Mais c’etait difficile par moi (but it was difficult for me). Je utilise Duolingo (I use Duolingo). Je l’ai utilise depuis trois ans (I’ve been using it for three years). Je fais beaucoup d’erreurs (I make a lot of mistakes). Par chance, je vie dans un pays francophone (Luckily, I live in a French speaking country).
