admin 13 0

The basic entry requirement to the field of cybersecurity is a degree in related fields such as Cybersecurity, computer science, information technology, or network security. Ideally, a specialized degree in cybersecurity would be good, but degrees in areas like IT or computer science serve as a good and strong foundation.

Industry further values certifications like CompTIA Security+, Certified Ethical Hacker, and CISSP on the qualification list for your resume. Some professionals study at a master's level in cybersecurity to an advanced position although much success is brought in by hands-on experience and certifications.

Cyber security is a practice of protecting computers, servers, mobile devices, electronic systems, networks, and data from malicious attacks. It's also called information technology security or electronic information security. Types of cyber threats

The threats countered by cyber-security are three-fold:

2. Cyber-attack often involves politically motivated information gathering.

3. Cyberterrorism is intended to undermine electronic systems to cause panic or fear.
