Oh yes they do! When you were putting up with their nonsense gaslighting, abuse etc you were acting like a doormat that didn’t have any dignity or self respect. So they probably took stock of that and did you a few more numbers thinking they were smart and getting one over on you. BUT…
When you finally woke up and got backbone, some strength and much needed courage to take them down. They probably didn’t expect the ways in which you started moving,

this freaks them the shit out, they don’t know what your next move will be so in fear and true narc rage you’ll be dished out something. Something that will allow you to hit them with the finale BAM moment that you’ve been slowly waiting for. See you being unpredictable and silent managing your emotions sends them crazy. They’ll be working over time trying to work out what’s going on. And like I said they aren’t smart so you’ll be able to finally pin that much need final nail into the coffin that will allow you to forever escape.
Preferably that final action from them was of criminal nature and you can be blessed by the Lord that now you even have legal support and true no contact that will keep you feeling safe.
The narc now if you play the game right and completely injure, discard them and never look back whilst thriving. Will know you’re done. Good luck hope you can completely expose these losers and ensure they slither back under the shitty, pathetic rock they came out of!
