What do enlightened people know that others don't?

Enlightened individuals possess a deeper understanding of others' beliefs, as they are not easily deceived by mere expressions of faith. By observing their reactions and behaviors, one can accurately infer their true convictions. For instance, a person who claims that life has no intrinsic meaning but exhibits surprise, distress, or joy in response to events cannot truly comprehend their own beliefs. Likewise, someone who believes there is a purpose to life, yet becomes perplexed and disturbed by occurrences, lacks certainty in their convictions. The more enlightened an individual is, the less perturbed they are by the functioning of the world, as their genuine knowledge shapes their reactions and conduct. Those who genuinely accept the inevitability of death will face it with equanimity, without being shaken by its impending reality. The enlightened understand the mechanics of the universe, allowing them to remain unperturbed by atrocities or enthralled by triumphs. This knowledge, which is accessible to all, increases as one attains a deeper realization of it, manifesting in a greater state of enlightenment. Achieving a steady mind amidst the various hardships of life is the initial stage of enlightenment, opening the door to further spiritual possibilities. At this stage, one perceives the Supreme Brahman and experiences complete joy, no longer plagued by lamentation or desires. They treat all living beings impartially, cultivating pure devotional service to the Divine.
