I'm currently 33 years old, and if I could go back 13 years, here are the things I would tell my younger self:
1. Don't quit the degree you're about to finish, even if you want to.
2. Start a business, blog, or side hustle, anything to begin building something.
3. Learn how to drive sooner rather than later.
4. Instead of solely planning out your future, make a Plan B as well.
5. Take the time to understand credit ratings, investments, and contributions - they're more important than you think.
6. Don't view every person you love as "The One" - appreciate relationships as temporary experiences and lessons.
7. Walk away from anyone who doesn't take responsibility, cheats, lies, or has a bad temper.
8. Learn a marketable skill like web design, playing an instrument, or mastering a second language.
9. Start practicing meditation, yoga, and prioritize your health and fitness.
10. Make time for your family, if they want to make time for you.
Lastly, remember that life won't always go according to plan. Embrace failure and use it as a learning experience.
At 40, I'll come back and reflect on how much I've grown since I was 33.
