What do you wish everyone should have?

The immediate one I could think of is Tolerance.

I won't beg everyone to be more feel others pain, be less judgmental, more loving, honest, etc.

We cannot make people feel empathy, love or even offence, it has to be in them.

Just let others be themselves.

Tolerate their beliefs and actions as long as it doesn't pose as harmful. We don't even need to change our own if we don't want to, but also, we don't need to harshly come at others.

Freedom of speech and expression exist, yet there's so much apparent restriction that doesn't let one to express freely.

Because there are just too much differences, too many controversies.

At times, it feels like we live in a world different from theirs, yet both have something in common that brings in contact.

What do I do when I'm surrounded by such people whose opinions and actions are such that I cannot tolerate?

If I do not like to tolerate them, I avoid their company. If their presence is unavoidable, I distance myself, at least emotionally.

Isn't this just running away instead of ‘tolerating’ what you dislike? One may question.

No; because nobody has to willfully tolerate coercion, that would be self-destructive.

It's tolerance because I cannot do anything about it; so I accept the way it is and detach for my peace.

It would be intolerance if i kept being at unease thinking how some people look down upon me, have shitty habits, the world has no hope, and such more.

Just like we cannot help anyone who doesn't want to be helped, we cannot intrude in others’ ways to change their views. Differences in opinions and interpretations do exist, and at times it goes to such extremes as good and evil, understand.

Knowing that I'm misunderstood and being okay with that, knowing that they misunderstand and I can't help it, knowing that differences exist and I need not be offended by differently raised people— are what I call tolerance.

Even if we don't like certain people, we must like ourselves enough to not frown when have a look at them.

Fostering tolerance towards differences is all I wish for all to have.
