What's your opinion on online courses? Do you think they are helpful?

Online courses? They’re a lot like a good meal—if you’re hungry enough and ready to learn, they’ll fill you up. But it’s up to you how much you savor the experience. In the world of education, they’ve opened doors to anyone with a screen and a willingness to dig in.

Now, let’s not kid ourselves. Some courses can feel like empty calories—fast and easy, but offering little substance. But the well-crafted ones, the ones that have been thoughtfully designed by top-tier universities or experienced instructors, those are different. They provide a real shot at mastering a subject, not just skimming the surface. I’ve seen it firsthand—students diving deep into topics like coding, business strategy, or even philosophy, without ever leaving their living room.

What makes them so useful? The flexibility. You can learn at your own pace, rewind and replay lessons, and fit it all into your schedule. A traditional classroom, with its rigid hours, doesn’t have that luxury. But with an online course, you can pause the lecture to grasp the idea, or take the time you need to perfect a concept.

And let’s be honest. A lot of people never would have gotten a chance at a high-quality education without the digital shift. It’s given folks a chance to learn and grow without the high cost or travel. It’s put knowledge into the hands of the curious.

But, and it’s important, online courses require discipline. They’re not going to hand you anything without effort. But if you’re ready to work, there’s nothing stopping you.
