As someone who has taken numerous courses over the years, I can confidently say that my experience with the TEFL course was incredibly disappointing. From start to finish, it felt like a complete waste of time and money.
Firstly, the level of disrespect shown by the course instructor was appalling. They consistently belittled students’ questions and contributions, creating an atmosphere of fear rather than learning. It’s hard to focus on coursework when you’re constantly worried about being mocked or dismissed.
The course material itself was outdated and poorly organized. It seemed like no effort had been made to update the content to reflect current teaching practices or advancements in the field. Assignments were confusingly worded and often irrelevant to practical teaching scenarios.
Communication with the course administration was equally frustrating. Emails went unanswered for weeks, and when I finally did get a response, it was dismissive and unhelpful. It’s clear that student support was not a priority for them.
In conclusion, the TEFL course was a total letdown. Instead of feeling prepared and confident, I left feeling discouraged and disrespected. I would strongly advise anyone considering this course to look elsewhere for a more professional and supportive learning environment.
