Why should we use learning resource materials in teaching?

We should deliver modern day tech currently being used so that when students get hired they are ready for the duties that technolgy applies to. If your classes are using MS paint from Windows 2000 at a time where Photoshop 13 is coming out, your students are going to have a disadvantage. This goes for any learning resources. Teachers need to be required to stay up to date with current methodologies.
